It is in this regard that, Sherpa Kami Rita has broken his record by climbing Mt Everest for the 29th time. It has been reported by the Associated Press that this feat was accomplished on May 12 at 7:25 am (local time).
It has also been reported that Sherpa Rita had climbed Mt Everest, twice last year.
Locally, referred to as the Sagarmatha in Nepal and Chomolungma in the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China, its peak is the highest above sea level, anywhere in the world. It is situated in between Nepal and China. It is located 8850 meters above sea level and is on the Greater Himalayan Ranges.
