The wedding festivities were spread over several days, beginning with the ring ceremony on January 14. The following day, on January 15, the haldi ceremony took place, and it was followed by a mehndi and DJ night to add to the excitement. On January 16, the wedding ceremony itself was held in the afternoon, and later that evening, the couple bid farewell to their guests. The entire event was a private affair, attended by around 60 close family members from both sides, maintaining a cozy and personal atmosphere.
The preparations for the wedding had been in the works for several months, but despite Neeraj being a public figure closely followed by the media since his junior world title win in 2016, the details of the preparations remained under wraps. The couple kept everything private, ensuring the wedding would be a peaceful, intimate occasion.
In an unusual twist, it was reported by Dainik Bhaskar that Neeraj Chopra did not
