Mac screenshot method: For capturing entire screen
In order to take a screenshot of your entire screen, you need to simultaneously press the Command, Shift and «3» key and release them together.

Mac keyboard shortcuts: To screenshot a specific portion
To capture a particular portion on the screen, Mac users need to press and release the Shift, Command, and «4» keys together. The combination turns the pointer into a crosshair. In order to screenshot any specific portion, click and hold the trackpad button (or the mouse) while dragging the crosshair to enclose the desired area within a frame. Releasing the trackpad button will capture a screenshot of the enclosed portion.
