PM Modi will be on an official visit, nonetheless it will boost the party's efforts to take the development narrative to the grassroots ahead of elections.«This will be the first tour of PM Modi in the new year. He will participate in 'Kisan Samman Samaroh' and will also announce several new schemes for farmers. The preparation for his tour has already begun,» Bihar deputy chief minister Samrat Choudhary told ET. Apart from PM Modi, several Union ministers will also visit Bihar in coming days to review the development of central government projects. On Friday, Union agriculture and rural development minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited Samastipur and Bhagalpur in Bihar. In Samastipur, Chouhan participated in the birth anniversary programme of Karpoori Thakur. In Bhagalpur, Chouhan took stock of the preparations for the PM's program in February.
On Friday, Union minister of state for new and renewable energy Shripad Yesso Naik arrived on a three-days visit to Banka in Bihar. Naik is also the in-charge of PM's 112 aspirational districts of the country.
