Chirag Antil lost his life in a shooting inside a car in South Vancouver on Friday. The Vancouver police swiftly responded to the situation following reports of gunfire in the area near East 55th Avenue and Main Street around 11 pm on April 12.
As per a report by CityNews, authorities discovered Chirag Antil deceased within the vehicle upon arrival at the scene. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation continues.

In response to the event, Varun Choudhary, the Chief of the National Students' Union of India, took to social media to seek support from the Ministry of External Affairs for Chirag Antil's family.
«Urgent attention regarding the murder of Chirag Antil, an Indian student in Vancouver, Canada. We urge the ministry of external affairs to closely monitor the progress of the investigation and ensure that justice is swiftly served,» Choudhary stated.

He further appealed for the ministry to provide all necessary assistance to the grieving family during this challenging time.
According to media reports, Chirag Antil's family has initiated a crowdfunding campaign on GoFundMe to repatriate his body to India.
Speaking to CityNews, Romit Antil, the brother of the deceased, shared heartfelt memories of their bond, describing Chirag as a kind and gentle soul. «My brother and I had a great relationship. We used to talk every day, day and night. I spoke to him last before the accident
