Kasabian has announced a headline performance at Leicester, Massachusetts' Victoria Park.
Ten years after the band's previous Summer Solstice performance in the same park, Summer Solstice II will take place on July 6, 2024.
The largest-ever live music event outside of London on BBC Radio 2 took place at this venue recently.
The concert, which also happens to be the release of a new album, will feature Kaiser Chiefs as the opening act.
Kasabian stated, «We are truly honored to be playing Victoria Park in our beloved hometown, with all our people for Summer Solstice II.
»We can't wait to play the biggest summer gig of the season outside with all of you. I'll see you in the crowd."
Since 2014, Kasabian has not performed in its entirety at Victoria Park.
This will be the first time.
The band is well-known for going above and beyond to stage performances in their hometown. They have previously performed at an aerodrome in an abandoned aircraft and at Leicester City's King Power stadium, which is not typically used for musical performances.
These two shows were hastily scheduled following the club's Premier League victory in 2016.
At the time, Kasabian's lead singer, Tom Meighan, was told to quit the group after he was accused of beating his ex-fiance.
Now, Tim Carter, Ian Matthews, Chris Edwards, bassist Serge Pizzorno, and drummer Ian Matthews make up Kasabian.
In 2022, they debuted their album at number one, The Alchemist's Euphoria. In 2024, they will release their new album, Happenings.
The performance in Leicester takes place after their highly successful sixth album, The Alchemist's Euphoria, whic was released in 2022.
