Infosys continues to be plagued by the exodus of senior executives to rivals with Rajeev Ranjan being the latest to leave India’s second-largest software services exporter after a stint of more than 24 years.
Ranjan, who was the executive vice president (EVP) and service offering head for manufacturing in India and Japan business units, left Infosys to join US-based engineering firm Ness Digital Engineering as its chief operating officer (COO).
After two years at Tata Motors followed by a one-year stint at NexGen Information Solutions (Nexgenix), Ranjan had joined Infosys in August 1999 and served as vice president — practice head, consulting & systems integration, and later senior vice president before being promoted as the EVP.
Infosys and Ness did not respond to emailed queries till press time.
While Ranjan quit in August, his exit continues to be part of the troubling trend of senior management attrition at Infosys, which has lost at least eight senior management personnels in the last 12 months.
In August, the Bengaluru-based company saw its chief human resource officer Richard Lobo, another EVP, leave after a 23-year tenure.
Early this year, Mohit Joshi and Ravi Kumar S, both presidents at Infosys, were hired by peers Tech Mahindra and Cognizant, as their respective CEOs.
