«I am also keen to introduce a few key weeks in the quarter as 'In Person Collab' weeks when all of us can be in the office during these weeks,» the VP's email added.
Band 5 and 6 include mid-level managers and project heads and entry level employees, respectively. Early this month, ET reported that Wipro, Capgemini and LTIMindtree have begun nudging employees to be in office on all or at least 50% of the working days in a week. In September, IT bellwether Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) informally started asking its workforce to visit office five days a week. Infosys being the second largest IT firm in India, the new move could further end the flexibility of working from home in the country's tech sector that started in the Covid-19 pandemic era.
The email comes at a time when the $245 billion IT industry is staring at a washout year as the growth in the ongoing fiscal
