Narendra Modi emphasised on Friday that infrastructure development is related to social justice and the efforts of his government in the last nine years to take projects like roads, railway lines, industries and even mobile connectivity to areas where poor, Dalits, backwards and tribals live has contributed to their well-being. This includes five national highway projects, new railway line from Keoti to Anantgarh, IOC bottling plant at Korba, and flagged off the Antagarh-Raipur train. He also initiated the distribution of 75 Lakh Ayushman Bharat cards to the beneficiaries. In his speech, the prime minister said nine years ago, more than 20% of the villages in Chhattisgarh did not have any mobile connectivity but today this figure has come down to 6%. Farmers and laborers are the biggest beneficiaries of this. Modi also pointed out that most of these tribal villages where connectivity has improved were the ones ones affected by Naxalite violence.
