businesses in India — as many as 91 per cent — face innovation challenges, according to insights accessed exclusively by ET from the Dell Technologies Innovation Catalyst research.
The research highlighted that data and AI are crucial for innovation today, whether for productivity gains or sustainability, while also revealing the challenges that arise. In all, 6,600 IT and business decision-makers were surveyed globally, of whom 300 were from significant businesses in India.
It was found that 89 per cent of Indian organisations currently have employees facing challenges driving innovation, even as 72 per cent businesses say innovation is a key part of their strategy. “With less than one in three organisations currently basing their innovative efforts on data, there exists an opportunity to work towards a futureready technology strategy,” Anil Sethi, vice-president, infrastructure solutions group, Dell Technologies India, told ET.
With regards to gen AI, 41 per cent of Indian businesses feel the pace of its adoption has been too quick, which has given rise to a number of challenges for decision makers, business owners and employees, he added.
