Insta influencer commits suicide after putting up obituary post
Ajmal Shereef, from Aluva in Kerala, tragically died by suicide after sharing an obituary post for himself on his Instagram page. His body was discovered hanging in his house around 6:30 PM on Friday, Press Trust of India reported, citing police.
He was rushed to a private hospital in Aluva but was pronounced dead by doctors. A postmortem was conducted, and the body was handed over to the relatives.
The police said that Ajmal was experiencing depression due to his inability to secure a satisfactory job, as conveyed by his family.
Ajmal's Instagram page, boasting over 14,000 followers, featured a post with his photo and the caption 'RIP Ajmal Shereef 1995-2003,.
According to a Manorama Online report, Ajmal had been grappling with deep depression following his unsuccessful job search in Dubai, where he had moved but faced challenges securing employment.
The police in Aluva have initiated further proceedings in response to this tragic incident.
