Game of Thrones in 2019, passionate fans have campaigned relentlessly for a remake of the much-debated final season. With the network showing interest in reboots, such as the recent Harry Potter remake, the idea of revisiting Season 8 seems less far-fetched than before.
Charles Dance, who portrayed Tywin Lannister, was one of the earliest cast members to voice his support for a Game of Thrones Season 8 remake. Speaking in an interview in 2020, Dance admitted that he would back the fan petition to remake the final season, as mentioned in a report by Pop Culture.
«Well, if there was a petition, I would sign it,» Dance candidly shared. Although he didn’t place blame on the showrunners, Dance expressed disappointment in the final outcome. «I know that the finale satisfied a lot of people. It also disappointed a lot of people, and I am in the latter camp,» he noted, as mentioned in a report.
