Mercedes racer Lewis Hamilton has finally addressed rumours that claim that he is maybe looking to switch teams by joining Red Bull.
«I don't really understand what he's been talking about because no one, as far as I'm aware, from my team has spoken to him. I haven't spoken to Christian really in years,» said Hamilton to reporters.
Hamilton accused Christian Horner of ‘stirring’ after the Red Bull Formula One boss said a representative of the seven times world champion approached him about a drive before the Briton signed a new contract with Mercedes.
Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has claimed that Lewis Hamilton's representatives made contact over a potential switch from Mercedes, media reports claim.
However, British racer has confirmed that the rumours are fake.
He said that he has checked with his team members of Mercedes and no talks about this exchange have happened with Red Bull.
“There aren’t any confidential discussions. You know Christian.
He loves that kind of stuff," said Hamilton.
Hamilton further explained to reporters about a message that he had missed from Horner.
«Basically, I picked up my old phone, which had my old number on it,» Hamilton said.
