Virat Kohli, known for his fitness commitment, continues to inspire fans with his rigorous workout routines shared on social media. Even on Independence Day, a national holiday, Virat hit the gym to maintain his form for the upcoming Asia Cup. Sharing a video on X (formerly Twitter), he said, "Chutti hai fir bhi bhaagna toh padega" along with emojis depicting a grinning face and a person running.
Although India's squad for the tournament is yet to be announced, numerous players are gearing up for the competition. The Asia Cup will feature a hybrid model, with Pakistan hosting four matches and Sri Lanka hosting India's matches as well as a total of nine other fixtures. India is placed in Group A alongside Pakistan and Nepal, while Group B comprises Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan.
India's journey in the tournament kicks off on September 2 in Kandy, facing Pakistan, followed by a match against Nepal on September 4 at the same venue. In a recent interview Kohli had said: «I believe in pushing myself to the limit when it comes to training.» I do a mix of strength training, agility drills, and endurance workouts. «It's all about laying a solid foundation to handle the rigors of the game while remaining injury-free,» he said.
«Of course, rest and healing are essential. Allowing my body to recover from rigorous training sessions is critical for top performance. As a result, I make sure to get adequate sleep and pay attention to my body's demands.»
