Jared Kushner, who is the son-in-law of US President- elect Donald Trump is eventually expected to play a pretty pivotal role in shaping the incoming administration's Middle East policy in spite of not holding an official position, reported CNN.
According to CNN, the regional diplomats and Donald Trump allies put an emphasis on Jared Kushner's unique ability to foster trust and maintain relationships with key leaders in the region, which he actually developed during his previous tenure as the Chief Middle East negotiator.

While Jared Kushner is likely to act as an outside advisor, at the same time his involvement raises severe concerns due to his financial ties in the region specifically following a $2 billion investment from Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund into his private equity firm named Affinity Partners, noted CNN. The critics actually worry that this could lead to prioritizing family financial interests over national interests.
Nonetheless, Jared Kushner's connections with figures like Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are seen as valuable assets for advancing US diplomatic efforts.
