S Jaishankar on Sunday spoke with his Iranian counterpart and discussed the grave situation in West Asia and the concern of the international community.

Earlier on Saturday Jaishankar spoke with his Israeli counterpart and reiterated India’s firm commitment to countering terrorism, observance of international humanitarian law and for a two state solution.

Earlier this week while in Italy Jaishankar had said that what happened on October 7 is “a big act of terrorism and we all need to stand up against it but at the same time also stressed the need for a solution to the Palestine issue”.
