Shah Rukh Khan's latest action-packed spectacle, 'Jawan', is making waves at the box-office, rewriting history with its latest record of becoming the highest single-day Hindi grosser of all time.
Released on September 7, the film stormed the screens with an astounding opening day collection of Rs 75 crore across India, staking its claim as the top Hindi opener of the year. However, this was just the beginning of its remarkable journey.
According to early estimates from Sacnilk.com, 'Jawan' raked in a whopping Rs 81 crore net for all languages at the Indian box-office on Sunday. It had an overall 70.77 percent occupancy for Hindi shows, 53.71 percent occupancy for Tamil shows and 68.79 percent occupancy for Telugu shows.
'Jawan' now sets its sights on surpassing the records set by SRK's last release 'Pathaan', promising an epic box office clash between two SRK blockbusters.
The film crossed the Rs 200 crore mark in just three days, a feat that 'Pathaan' took four days to achieve, while Sunny Deol's 'Gadar 2' accomplished it in five days.
