Jennifer Lopez started afresh with her new residence after her divorce from Ben Affleck. Lopez, aged 55, made a major purchase of a $18 million Los Angeles property to live with her 17-year-old twins, Max and Emme. The house purchase takes place after Lopez and Affleck finalized their divorce in a respectful manner.

Sources indicate that Lopez spent spring 2024 searching for properties, and ended up buying her latest property in real estate. A $22 million Beverly Hills estate served as her previous choice, but she ultimately purchased another property. A Spanish-style residence brought by Lopez provides both privacy and luxury features to its new owners.
The purchase of her new house occurred shortly after she put the Beverly Hills mansion on the market for sale, which she owned with Affleck. The former couple acquired this expensive 12-bedroom, 24-bathroom estate with a $60 million purchase in June 2023, exactly one year after getting married in Las Vegas. After splitting in April 2024, they placed the property for sale at $68 million in July 2024. Due to its breathtaking location and its full array of luxury features such as the zero-edge pool, sports complex, and guest house, the property remains unsold.
Ben Affleck’s new Pacific Palisades retreat
Ben Affleck, meanwhile, continues his life at age 52 in his new residential home. Affleck used $20.5 million to buy a five-bedroom home with six bathrooms in Pacific Palisades. The estate occupies 2/3 of an acre at Sullivan Canyon, which features gardens together with natural lighting. This equestrian retreat property provides stable facilities and a tack room, together with horse walking grounds.

Subscribe to enjoy similar stories.MUMBAI: India’s listed electronics manufacturers are under pressure to defend profitability as the mobile-phone assembly boom slows, prompting a shift towards higher-value industrial electronics.Investors remained jittery through the last fiscal, driven by concerns that slowing consumer sentiment could weigh on the rapid growth that electronics manufacturing services (EMS) firms have delivered so far.In an interview with Mint, Jasbir Singh Gujral, managing director of Syrma SGS Technology Ltd, India’s second-largest listed EMS firm, said, “We’re increasingly looking to capture a larger chunk of contracts from defence, aerospace and med-tech verticals, all of which represent opportunities for original design manufacturing, and also bring significantly higher margins. We’ve already started this transition, and we plan to do more of it this fiscal.”Beyond mobile phones and laptops, EMS firms are expanding into smart metres for electricity boards, aerospace and defence subsystems, railway safety instrumentation, printed circuit boards and display assemblies, and medical devices deployed in hospitals.India’s annual mobile phone shipments have remained subdued since the covid-19 pandemic, with industry estimates pointing to a single-digit decline this calendar year from 152 million smartphones shipped last year.The margin pressure driving this shift is increasingly visible.In FY26, Syrma SGS reported an operating margin of 7.1%, up 2.3 percentage points.
