English county cricket suffered a huge blow as Josh Baker, a Worcestershire left-arm spinner, passed away at a very early age of 20. Baker began his first-class cricket journey back in 2021 when he started playing for Worcestershire.
His accomplishments at a very early stage, saw him sign his first contract with his county club at the early age of 17. Moreover, in the international circuit, he was also included in the England squad at the Under-19 level and was also in the reserves for the U19s World Cup squad in the year 2022, according to The Mirror.
He was also a stylish and flamboyant allrounder, who hit two superb half-centuries including a career-best 75 against Gloucestershire in July last year. In the same cricketing season, while batting against a formidable Yorkshire squad, he scored the run that secured the club's elevation to the higher tier.

Born and brought up in the Redditch area and studying at Malvern College, Baker toiled hard to secure a three-year deal and also played for the New South Wales Premier League.
