Pujar, who completed her post-graduation in Kannada, joined the Kannada Department at Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University’s Nandihalli campus (PG Centre) earlier this month.
«I'm very happy. After a lot of struggle, I have reached this stage. The university has helped me a lot,» Pujar told PTI, reflecting on her journey. «I completed my degree in 2018 and became transgender in 2017 when I was in my second year. I completed my MA in 2022, and now, I am working as a guest lecturer.»
A resident of Kurugodu in Ballari district, Pujar credited her supportive parents for helping her reach this milestone.
«My family comes from an agricultural background, and my parents educated me to achieve in life,» she said, emphasizing the importance of their encouragement.
