Emergency’ is in no hurry to hit the theatres any time soon! The release date of Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming political drama has been postponed. The new release date has not been shared yet. On Tuesday, the makers announced that the date of ‘Emergency’ has been postponed due to her political commitments.

The note further read, «As she prioritises her duty to the nation and her commitment to serve the country, the release date of our much awaited film 'Emergency' has been postponed. We promise to update you soon with a new release date. Thank you for your continued support. #EmergencyComingSoon (sic).»
Earlier, the political drama was scheduled to be released on June 14. “ "'Emergency' is my most ambitious project and second directorial post-'Manikarnika', we have the best of Indian and international talent come together for this big budget, grand period drama."
Ranaut is currently a candidate for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections for BJP. She is contesting elections from Mandi, a district in the Himachal Pradesh. “Serving the people is not everyone's cup of tea. Everyone, including me, has dreams. I was in the film industry for 20 years and had a lavish life. I don't see myself as a neta (politician). I am just a BJP candidate out there to serve the people," she told India Today.
