For years, KBC has been a platform where contestants answer questions on various topics such as current events, entertainment, sports, geography, and history to win cash prizes. Lifelines have always been a crucial part of the game, providing much-needed help when contestants are unsure of an answer. However, this season brings a significant twist with the introduction of the 'Super Sawaal' segment.
According to reports, the 'Super Sawaal' is a new addition that allows contestants to double their prize money. This special bonus question appears after question 5, offering no choices or lifelines. If answered correctly, contestants unlock the 'dugaanastra' power, which enables them to press a buzzer and potentially double their winnings on any question between 6 and 10.
For example, if a contestant decides to use the 'dugaanastra' on question 9, they can double the standard prize of Rs 1,60,000, provided they answer correctly. However, the catch is that no lifelines can be used during this process, adding a layer of risk and excitement.
Amitabh Bachchan, who has been the face of KBC since its inception in 2000 (except for the third season hosted by Shah Rukh Khan), shared his thoughts on the new season. In a detailed post on his blog, he highlighted the emotional impact of the contestants' personal stories and the significant changes in the game.
