King Charles celebrated his 75th birthday and launched his Coronation Food Project with Queen Camilla on Tuesday.
A video released on X/Twitter by Royal Reporter Richard Palmer shows Charles standing next to Camilla as people send him birthday greetings. In the video, the mob starts singing «Happy Birthday,» but instead of shouting «King Charles,» the group is heard saying «Happy Birthday, Your Majesty» — one of the proper ways to address the monarch.
According to Royal.UK, while greeting a member of the Royal Family, «there are no obligatory codes of behavior when meeting The Queen or a member of the Royal Family.
The website, which has yet to be updated since the late Queen's death, also provides a step-by-step guide on how people can greet the royal family.
