Kristen Stewart to receive Visionary Award at 2024 Sundance Film Festival
Kristen Stewart will be honored with the Visionary Award at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival at its opening night gala January 18.
Stewart is receiving the award as a recognition of her «work as an uncompromising artist and contributions to the field of independent film.»
«Stewart’s profound work as an actor has exemplified the bold, risk-taking storytelling that Sundance has championed for many years,» a press release by Sundance Institute said, noting her 2022 Oscar nomination for Spencer.
. Sundance highlights Stewart's influence by acknowledging that 10 films featuring her work, including her 2017 directorial debut short film «Come Swim,» have graced the festival's screens over the years

In a notable double feature, Kristen Stewart takes the spotlight at Sundance in January with two movies. First, she stars in «Love Lies Bleeding,» a romantic drama directed by Rose Glass, featuring co-stars Katy O'Brian, Ed Harris, Dave Franco, and Jena Malone. Additionally, Stewart will appear alongside Steven Yeun in «Love Me,» a film by the filmmaking duo Sam and Andrew Zuchero.
