LEGO Marvel special centered around the Avengers is gearing up for release on Disney+. LEGO and Marvel, known for their collaborative efforts in toys and merchandise, are once again teaming up for an exciting adventure, according to reports.
Disney+ made the official announcement via X (formerly Twitter), revealing that the special will be titled «LEGO Marvel Avengers: Code Red.» Fans can mark their calendars for its premiere on Friday, October 27.
While LEGO and Marvel have previously released sets inspired by popular films like «Spider-Man: No Way Home,» featuring the epic Statue of Liberty battle, and even a «Morbius» set following the movie's theatrical release, they also delve into animated LEGO specials on occasion. Disney+ offers a variety of such projects in the Star Wars universe, including «The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special.»
Meanwhile, Walt Disney Co. is planning to invest approximately $60 billion into its theme parks and cruise lines over the next decade, as the company looks to continue growing one of its more successful business segments, according to AP report.
The company said in a regulatory filing that the planned investment is nearly double what it spent in the prior 10-year period.
The Disney Parks, Experiences and Products segment continues to do well for the company, with revenue rising 13 per cent in its fiscal third quarter. That's helped to offset the struggles in its Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution unit, which saw revenue dip 1 per cent in the period.
