Lenovo on Friday said it is launching PMA-compliant (government of India's Preferential Market Access policy) PCs with its made-in-India motherboard.
The company said this underscores its commitment to strengthening and expanding its manufacturing footprint in the country.
With the move, Lenovo said it now qualifies for the Class 1 PMA bracket.
«India is a very strategic market and with the government push in terms of Make in India and participating or being part of Make in India — we are fully committed to that,» Saurabh Agrawal, chief operating officer, Lenovo India told ET.
