Ajit Pawar, could not be opened due to the missing bunch of keys. In the morning, when the Pawar's loyalists went to the 'Rashtrawadi Bhavan', the new office of NCP, they were left red-faced as they found themselves locked out and the keys missing. According to NDTV news channel, the party leaders were seen sitting outside on the lawn of the bungalow.
Some youth leaders tried to break the lock in order to prepare for the inauguration. However, as they managed to open the entry gate, they faced another problem-doors all the rooms were locked too. The new NCP office chosen by Ajit Pawar belongs to Ambadas Danve, Leader of the Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Council and a loyalist of Uddhav Thackeray.
DAnve has been allotted another bungalow. One of the Party's loyalists told the channel that the personal assistant of Danve slept at the bungalow last night. He locked up all the doors and left.
But now he is on his way to Mantralaya and will hand over the keys to them. Meanwhile, Pawar and his colleagues from NCP have reached Mantralaya in Mumbai for the cabinet meeting. It will be their first cabinet meeting after taking oath as ministers in the BJP-Shiv Sena government in Maharashtra.
Pawar has been unanimously elected as the leader of the legislature party. Maharashtra politics will be interesting to watch in the coming days, as NCP chief Sharad Pawar has called a meeting on July 5 in Mumbai in which all MPs and MLAs are asked to remain present.
