On Sunday night, the Manipur government ordered that schools and colleges will remain closed for two more days on Monday and Tuesday, withdrawing its earlier orders. Earlier, separate orders were issued by Director of Education (S), L Nandakumar, and Daryal Juli Anal, Joint Secretary of Higher and Technical Education which said that normal classes for all schools and colleges in Manipur would start from November 25.
Educational institutions suspended classes following the large-scale violence over the killing of six civilians, including three women and three minors.
Manipur Security Advisor Kuldiep Singh accompanied by DGP Manipur Rajiv Singh conducted their first visit to the Indo-Myanmar border town of Moreh on Saturday. The visit included inspection of the Integrated Check Post, border fencing, and other security arrangements along the Indo-Myanmar border.
