The first of these exciting store openings is set for next week, with M&S' brand-new Birmingham Bullring store opening its doors to the public on November 7. This store will feature an array of offerings, including clothing, home, and beauty departments, as well as a revamped M&S Foodhall that offers a unique marketplace ambiance. The new stores will also include an expanded M&S Bakery where shoppers can look forward to fresh produce displays.
The bakery will offer a wide variety of bread, cakes, and pastries, as well as a dedicated M&S wine shop.
The Birmingham store is set to open from 9am to 8pm, Monday to Saturday, and from 11am to 5pm on Sundays.
M&S is on track with its plan to open 20 «bigger and better» full-line stores in this financial year.
Full-line stores encompass a wide range of products, including both home and clothing ranges. Additionally, the company intends to increase the number of its food-only M&S halls from 316 to 420, responding to the evolving preferences of its customers.
The second store in this series of openings is scheduled for November 8 in Uckfield, located at Ashdown Business Park. This 15,000-square-foot establishment will also house a dedicated grocery section and bakery, ensuring a comprehensive shopping experience.
In the following month, M&S has plans to potentially open four more stores.
The Lakeside Thurrock store in Essex is set to open its doors on November 15, while Earlsfield will follow on November 16. An official opening date for the Barnsley store is yet to be confirmed, but it's expected to welcome customers in autumn. Furthermore, Manchester's Trafford Centre will witness the launch of an M&S store in late November, though an official date remains undisclosed.
