Mean Girls fans out there have good news to catch. The actors of the famous American teen comedy are reunited once again for a Walmart Black Friday ad.
After a long wait of 9 years, actors including Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Seyfried, Lacey Chabert, Daniel Franzese and Rajiv Surendra will come together to film Walmart's new campaign supporting the brand’s hot holiday deals. In the commercial, characters Lindsay Lohan's Cady Heron, Amanda Seyfried's Karen Smith, and Lacey Chabert's Gretchen Wieners reunited with Daniel Franzese's Damien and Rajiv Surendra's Kevin Gnapoor at North Shore High.
Further, the commercial was made on-air on November 1. The ad shows that Cady Heron (Lohan), who now works as a guidance counsellor, Karen Smith (Seyfried) in her role as a weather reporter, Gretchen Wieners (Chabert) playing the role of a stage mom, Kevin Gnapoor (Surendra) embracing his role as a proud dad, and Damian (Franzese) as Cady's best friend, returns to North Shore High School only to find that the school is now running by another bunch of popular girls.
While Gretchen pulls up the roof of the convertible with Walmart shopping bags, Cady says that there is something that will never change.
The ad is a treat to the eye for all 'Mean Girls lovers as the commercial visits some of the movie’s most iconic scenes, from Karen’s air-headed weather reports to the well-known «Jingle Bell Rock» performance, complete with seductive Santa outfits.
Meanwhile, in an interview with PEOPLE, Lohan says that it was a great experience to reunite with everyone after all these years. Further, in the same interview, Chabert says it was wonderful to spend an entire day with Amanda and Lindsay while remembering everything that we did together.
