These updates, known as 'Moment' updates, seem to be the future direction for Microsoft, but that doesn't mean they will completely eliminate major feature updates. Version 23H2 is scheduled to be released before the end of 2023, and some of its noteworthy new features have already been disclosed.
Windows 11 23H2Following the introduction of Windows 11, Microsoft initially indicated a shift to annual feature updates instead of the previous biannual approach of Windows 10. While it's possible, the specific date mentioned may not be accurate, and plans could change between now and then. The gradual rollout of the update means it might take some time to reach all Windows 11 devices. However, users will have the opportunity to test it in advance through the Windows Insider Program. It's worth noting that signing up for the experimental Canary Channel, which may include potential Windows 12 features, is not necessary.
