Mid-Century Modern, the multi-camera comedy pilot starring Nathan Lane, Matt Bomer, and Linda Lavin, has received a series order from Hulu. The pickup order comes two months after the TV Pilot written by David Kohan and Max Mutchnick was officially green lighted.
The trio, who are now a chosen family, will navigate life's ups and downs in their shared home as the show promises a mix of humour and poignant moments. The dynamic between them is further complicated by the comedic tension that arises from Bunny Schneiderman (played by Nathan Lane), the wealthiest member of the group, living with his sardonic mother Sybil. The final two members of the group, Arthur (Nathan Lee Graham) and Jerry Frank (Matt Bomer), each add their unique personalities and pasts to the mix.

Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, the masterminds of Will & Grace, created the series, and a talented group of people, including Ryan Murphy and James Burrows, produced it. Burrows also directed the pilot. The series is expected to be a standout in Hulu's comedy lineup, joining hits like Only Murders in the Building and Unprisoned, with this creative powerhouse behind the scenes.
Although the precise launch date has not yet been disclosed, the series is anticipated to make its debut in 2025.
