Mike Tyson recently shared his experience following a health scare that nearly cost him his life just before his boxing match against Jake Paul, reported New York Post. In a post on X, Mike Tyson actually revealed that he underwent eight blood transfusions and lost 25 pounds while he was being hospitalized due to an ulcer flare-up and asserted that, ‘I almost died in June’.
According to New York Post, in spite of losing the fight by unanimous decision, Mike Tyson expressed his humble gratitude for the opportunity to compete again while emphasizing on the fact that standing toe-to-toe with a younger opponent in front of a packed stadium was a victory in itself.

The bout marked Mike Tyson's first sanctioned fight since the year 2005 and he certainly acknowledged that he felt outmatched during the match specifically as Jake Paul landed more punches. New York Post asserted that Mike Tyson's health issues had previously postponed the fight which was originally scheduled for the month of July.
Following the long fight, Jake Paul made remarks that he wanted to provide an entertaining show without causing Mike Tyson any sort of harm while indicating a tremendous level of respect for the boxing legend. Mike Tyson's reflections highlight not only his resilience but also the emotional significance of returning to the ring after such serious health challenges.
