Tom Cruise’s upcoming movie, Mission: Impossible 8, now titled The Final Reckoning, has revealed its first trailer and official release date. The film, originally intended as a follow-up to Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, is scheduled to premiere in May 2025.
The title of the eighth Mission: Impossible movie is The Final Reckoning. This title replaces the original designation as Part Two of the previous movie, Dead Reckoning. The movie is scheduled for release on May 23, 2025.

Several key actors are set to return in this installment. Angela Bassett reprises her role as Erika Sloane, CIA Director, first introduced in Mission: Impossible – Fallout. Esai Morales, who plays the antagonist Gabriel, returns after his appearance in Dead Reckoning. Morales’s character is set on finding The Entity, an AI program with significant implications. The cast also includes familiar faces like Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Hayley Atwell and Vanessa Kirby.
Hannah Waddingham, Janet McTeer, Holt McCallany, Katy O’Brian, Nick Offerman and Tramell Tillman join the franchise.
