Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday brought an end to the looming suspense by officially designating three-time Ujjain South MLA Mohan Yadav as the new Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. Jagdish Devda and Rajendra Shukla are set to be the Deputy CMs.

Earlier on July 2, 2020, he took the oath as cabinet minister in the Madhya Pradesh Government headed by Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
The decision was taken during the legislature party meeting in Bhopal that was attended by the 163 newly elected BJP MLAs as well as the party's three central observers.
The three central observers sent by the party leadership arrived in Bhopal in the morning, including Haryana Chief Minister Manoharlal Khattar, party OBC Morcha president K Laxman, and party national secretary Asha Lakra.
