Mumbai: Police to deploy 15,000 personnel ahead of Dussehra rallies, Durga Visarjan, and ICC World Cup

Police personnel will be deployed at the venues of Dussehra rallies of Shiv Sena groups as well. The ruling Shiv Sena and its rival group led by former Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray will organise rallies on Dussehra at Azad Maida, South Mumbai and Shivaji Park, Central Mumbai.

Another major event is set to take place in the city on Tuesday. The World Cup match between South Africa and Bangladesh will be held on the day at Wankhede Stadium.
Other than Dussehra rallies and World Cup match, the big challenge to maintain peace would be during Durga idol immersion that will mark the closure of the grand Navratri celebration.
