Several parts of Mumbai experiences severe water-logging after witnessing intermittent rainfall on Friday. IMD has predicted for heavy rainfall in some parts of the city on Saturday as well.
Areas like Thane and Navi Mumbai also received heavy downpour yesterday. There is a possibility that water-logging might intensify in many parts of Mumbai, as IMD has predicted heavy rainfall at isolated places. The weather forecasting agency also issued a yellow alert for Mumbai for Saturday.
This weekend's rain is taking a toll on people living in the low lying areas of Mumbai like Thane, Andheri, etc. Commuters had to face trouble after the Andheri subway was closed for a brief time in Friday evening due to water-logging and heavy rainfall.
