Mystery deepens in death of Gene Hackman’s wife Betsy Arakawa as doctor makes shocking allegations, says she called him a day after reported passing
Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, passed away in unfortunate circumstances, leaving new questions.
Gene Hackman's wife, Betsy Arakawa, died in an unexpected turn of events after a doctor said she phoned his clinic a day after she was said to have died, questioning the timeline and cause of death, as per a report.
With doubts raised about her diagnosis of hantavirus and Hackman's secluded last days, the case has raised speculation regarding what really happened.
A week before the death of her Oscar-winning husband, Betsy Arakawa was discovered dead on February 11 from a rare rodent illness known as hantavirus pulmonary syndrome.

According to a report by The US Sun, Dr. Josiah Child, the owner of Cloudberry Health in Santa Fe and a former emergency care specialist, asserts that Betsy couldn't have passed away on February 11 because «she called my clinic on February 12.»

«She scheduled a self-care appointment for February 12,» he said. It had nothing to do with the respiratory system.
According to Dr. Child, Betsy cancelled her appointment with him just two days before it was scheduled because her husband wasn't feeling well.
«There was nothing hantavirus-related about the appointment. We called her a few times but got no response,” as quoted in a report by The US Sun.
