According to Fortune, the viral video mentioned that Buffett said that the US president was making the “best economic moves” in over 50 years.
The video was first posted from the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) account by the username AmericanPapaBear, and it claims Trump is deliberately bringing down the stock market by 20% to coerce Federal Reserve chairman Jerome Powell into lowering interest and mortgage rates, as per the report.
AmericanPapaBear's video said, “Trump is crashing the stock market by 20% this month, but he’s doing it on purpose,” quoted Fortune. The X user also went on to falsely assert that Buffett supported Trump’s actions by saying, “And this is why Warren Buffett just said, ‘Trump is making the best economic moves he’s seen in over 50 years,’” as quoted in the report.

What Did Berkshire Hathaway Say?
However, Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway rejected the allegations made in the video, which was shared by Trump and was also circulating on Facebook, TikTok, and X, according to Fortune. Though Berkshire did not give an exact claim to refute the allegations, one of the company's representatives said that the release was also directed at Trump’s Truth Social post, reported Fortune.
