Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee once again brought up the issue of non-disbursal of Central funds as she addressed the people of Bhawanipore constituency on Monday, post Durga Puja celebrations.
Without naming any BJP leader or the PM, she said that she does not need publicity and there were no roads or stadiums named after her.
She said that poor people were failing to get money after working for 100 days. «We have not received funds for MGNREGA, PM Awas Yojana and Sadak Yojana,» she said.
Spreading the message of harmony and religious unity, she said: «We will not go into divisive politics.
There is no discrimination among any religion in the state and all communities are one...we will take all along with us.»
«The whole world is a global village...I love my motherland. So, I am keeping silent and don't say anything about any leader,» she said.
«West Bengal is a place of culture, unity and harmony.
It is a land which brought freedom to the country. The maximum contribution to India's freedom struggle has been made by the Sikh and Bengali communities,» Banerjee said.
«We have learnt the message of peace and harmony from Gandhiji and BR Ambedkar,» she said.
