Netflix is in the early stages of developing a sequel to the popular American series «One Tree Hill.» Stars Sophia Bush and Hilarie Burton have signed on to executive produce and reprise their roles as Brooke Davis and Peyton Sawyer, respectively. Danneel Ackles is also expected to executive produce and may return as Rachel Gatina. The project is from writer-executive producer Becky Hartman Edwards and Warner Bros. Television.
Sophia Bush and Hilarie Burton's involvement brings back two of the series' key characters in significant roles. Danneel Ackles will join them with her production company, Chaos Machine, and her husband, Jensen Ackles. The potential inclusion of Rachel Gatina adds to the excitement surrounding the revival.
