Hyderabad Traffic Police has issued rules and regulations to control the traffic movement.
«People are requested to kindly follow traffic rules for their own safety and co-operate with the police personnel on duty,» the official notification of Hyderabad Traffic Police read.

- No vehicles allowed on NTR Marg, PVNR Marg (Necklace Road) and Upper Tankbund from 10:00 pm to 2:00 am on the intervening night of December 31, 2023 and January 1, 2024.

- Vehicular traffic coming from V.V. Statue (Khairatabad) towards Necklace Road and NTR Marg via Khairtabad flyover will be diverted at V.V. Statue (Khairatabad) towards Nirankari and Raj Bhavan Road
- Traffic coming from BRK Bhavan towards NTR Marg will be diverted at Telugu Thalli Junction towards Iqbal Minar, Lakadikapul and Ayodhya Junctions.
- Traffic from Liberty Junction will not be allowed towards Upper Tankbund. The commuters requested to take left at Ambedkar statue towards Telugu Thalli, Iqbal Minar, Ravindra Bharathi and other alternate roads
- Vehicles coming from Khairatabad Market and going towards Necklace Rotary will be diverted at Khairatabad (Bada Ganesh) towards Sensation Theatre, Rajdoot lane and Lakdikapul
- Mint compound lane adjacent to Secretariat will be closed for the general vehicular traffic
- Those coming from Nallagutta Railway Bridge will not be allowed towards Sanjeevaiah Park and PVNR Marg and will be diverted towards Ranigunj/Minister Road.
- Traffic from Secunderabad will be diverted at the Sailing Club towards Kavadiguda X Roads, Lower Tankbund, Kattamaisamma Temple, left turn & Ashok
