NH7 music festival, a beloved annual event since its inception in 2009, has consistently brought together a diverse range of artists from both India and around the world. The 14th edition of this celebrated festival has recently revealed its first phase lineup, which includes more than 28 local and international performers.
As part of the festival's amazing roster of international artists, British pop icon M.I.A. will make her Indian debut, which is sure to be one of the highlights.
Before pursuing a career in music in 2002, M.I.A., who is originally from London, first sought a career as a visual artist, filmmaker, and designer in the early 2000s.
The Grammy Award-winning performer, who is well-known for her work with Jay-Z, Kanye West, Pharrell, and Lil Wayne, will dazzle the NH7 stage with hits including «Bad Girls,» «Borders,» «XXXO,» and «Paper Planes.»
Joining M.I.A. in the Phase 1 lineup are some India festival debutants, including 2023 Mercury Prize winners Ezra Collective, Antwerp-based metal newcomers BEAR, rising R&B sensation Priya Ragu, and Afro pioneer Romare, who will present his highly anticipated live set in the country.
New York-based duo MEMBA, known in India for their hit «For Aisha» from the Bollywood film «The Sky is Pink,» will also make their festival debut.
Certified Gold electronic music producer Jai Wolf will return to India following a successful global tour spanning the US, Europe, and Australia. Other international acts include French reggae duo Jahneration and Copenhagen-based global bass sensation Alo Wala, recognized for her previous collaborations with Nucleya.
