Kennedy assumed his current position in 2018, when Ninety One (then Investec Asset Management) created a London wealth team
A spokesperson for Ninety One said Wil Jeffs, who has worked on Ninety One's wealth team for six years, would be promoted to head of London wealth in Kennedy's place and lead the firm's overall UK wealth team alongside Denis Skeate, head of regional sales.
Kennedy assumed his current position in 2018, when Ninety One (then Investec Asset Management) created a London wealth branch, promoting Kennedy from his role as sales director to head up the team.
He began his career in financial services in 1997 as a stockbroker at Bell Lawrie, before joining Investec Asset Management in 2000.

In a statement on LinkedIn, Kennedy said: «I would like to thank all of those who believed in me as a young and enthusiastic sales person and gave me the opportunity to thrive. But more importantly thank you to all my colleagues and clients, so many of whom are now close friends.
»I would be grateful for any introductions or opportunities, but for now it is time for gardening leave and time with my young family. I will see you all in February 2024 as the next chapter starts, after a very long one comes to an end!"
