
Nintendo introduces Mario Kart World for Switch 2: Here's all you can expect
Mario Kart World was unveiled during the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct livestream on Wednesday, April 2, giving a sneak peak into what gamers can expect from the upcoming title.
The game will be released exclusively on the newly introduced Nintendo Switch 2 as a launch title for the system. However, players will not be able to play the game on the original Switch, Forbes reported.
What to know?
With a total of 67 million copies, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe remains the best-selling game on Switch till date, leaving behind Animal Crossing: New Horizon at the second place by a huge margin. Animal Crossing sold 47 million copies, while Even Breath of the Wild has a number of 32 million.

The game series holds major significance for Nintendo. The platform has even decided to hold a dedicated Mario Kart World Direct event for the game on April 17 at 9 AM ET.

Mario Kart World: Expectations
According to Game Rant, the upcoming game will be taking players to an interconnected world of various colourful race tracks such as exotic jungles, dusty towns as well as lava-filled castles.
The users will also have Free Roam mode this time that will allow players to roam around freely to explore several environments in the game. This adds to the already available modes of Grand Prix and elimination Knockout Tour.
