Chandrababu Naidu.
Chandrababu Naidu's son and TDP leader Nara Lokesh has been in Delhi for the past couple of days and has accused the Andhra government of political vendetta against his father.
The state CID team on Sunday held a press conference in Delhi to present the investigation in the skill development scam.
«This is a scam of ₹371 crore of government money. This money was given as a nomination without any tender to a company named Siemens by the AP government.
Money was going out of government hands just on nomination basis,» Sanjay told media persons.
«Of the ₹371 crore given, ₹241 crore were also going to other private companies which was also pointed out by the ED.
Naidu, in his capacity, influenced and orchestrated and mooted the whole idea and this was also figured by the CID and ED as proceeds of crime,» he added. Sanjay added that Naidu was the prime conspirator in the scam.
Naidu was sent to judicial custody for 14 days on September 10 by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) court in Vijayawada in connection with an alleged Skill Development Corporation scam.
He will be in custody till September 23. «We don't work under government pressure.
There is no vendetta politics. Whatever we are saying is based on investigation and we have put this information in the remand papers also,» he added.
