Noida after he attempted to jump from the 14th floor of a high-rise building. The incident, which took place at Supertech Capetown in Sector 74, was caught on video and widely shared on social media. The footage shows the man, who is reported to be struggling with mental health issues, hanging from a balcony before being rescued by alert residents.
Rescue captured on video
The video begins with the man clinging to the balcony railing, visibly in distress. Onlookers can be heard shouting, but it was the swift action of two men that averted the tragedy. One neighbour rushed to the man’s aid and was soon joined by another, both managing to pull him to safety.
Social media user Dr Mehak Janjua shared the video on X, praising the bravery of the neighbours. “Bravery and quick action saved a life today in Supertech Capetown, Sector 74, Noida. A man about to jump from… was rescued by alert residents,” she wrote.
Mental health concerns
According to reports, the man had been living separately from his family, who were unaware of his whereabouts until the incident occurred. The local police were informed immediately after the rescue and handed the man over to his family. His family disclosed that he has been battling long-term mental health issues and is currently undergoing treatment.
