Not fit for a prince? Camilla’s three concerns on why she reportedly opposed Kate Middleton as Prince William’s future bride
Kate Middleton can be the royal favourite now, but she did not always have Queen Camilla’s approval. A new documentary discloses Camilla's early hesitation about Kate as Prince William's bride due to issues regarding her background and tastes.

What were Queen Camilla’s concerns about Kate?
Princess of Wales wasn't always regarded as the ideal candidate to become Queen. Her middle-class upbringing is alleged to have been ridiculed by Prince William's pals, and one royal expert claims that Queen Camilla wasn't initially a big fan of Kate either, as quoted in a report by Marie Claire.
According to royal expert Tom Quinn, who appeared on the Channel 5 documentary The Middletons: Modern Royal In-Laws (via the Express), «I'd heard that Camilla wasn't very keen on Catherine,» as quoted in a report by Marie Claire.

He added that Middleton, who was raised with non-aristocratic ancestry, was the subject of three particular worries for the now-Queen.
William claimed that there was too big of a gap and that she didn't shoot because she isn't really into horses. Camilla's alleged concerns stem from traditional royal thinking, given Middleton's «normal» family and the notion that Prince George will be the first monarch to have a common mother.
The remarks, however, are rather ironic given that, in the 1970s, Camilla Parker Bowles was deemed an inappropriate royal bride for Prince Charles because of her personal history.
