Jules Bouyer, an Olympic diver from Paris had become an overnight sensation after Olympic viewers and netizens gasped at his revealing swimsuit, which he donned while appearing for diving events at the Paris Olympics. There were concerns and questions by traditionalists around the reason why these swimsuits were not being banned from the Olympic Games for being too revealing and vulgar in nature.

IOC did not pay heed to Bouyer's swimsuit ban claims

There were calls for organizers to ban the swimsuit being donned by Bouyer, on the grounds that it was too revealing in nature. However, the Paris Olympics organizers did not follow up on the same and he kept up with his events.

Bouyer captures hearts with revealing swimsuit, but misses out on medal

Bouyer's apparent 'bulge' near his private parts, was the talking point of netizens, and his pictures in the pool went viral overnight, right after his first appearance at the La Defense Arena. However, according to a report by the New York Post, Bouyer has to medal-less yet again after a dismal performance in the 3-meter springboard diving final on Thursday, where he finish 8th.

Bouyer more effective on social media, than Olympic pool

Although Bouyer, in his first-ever Olympic Games, reached the finals of two major water-sports events, he still could not manage to bag a medal from any of them. However, the amount of fame and craze he has earned on social media because of his appearance, stance and unapologetic attire, is simply phenomenal. Even though he could not win medals
