Vinesh Phogat has been hospitalised in Paris due to dehydration, TV reports said.
As per a report by India Today, Phogat, who was going to compete for a gold medal in wrestling later today, is being administered with IV fluids.
The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) announced that Vinesh Phogat has been disqualified from the Women’s Wrestling 50kg class.

«Despite the best efforts by the team through the night, she weighed in a few grams over 50kg this morning. No further comments will be made by the contingent at this time,» the IOA said ahead of Phogat's gold medal match scheduled for tonight.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached out to IOA President PT Usha to seek a comprehensive review of the situation. According to ANI sources, PM Modi requested first-hand information from Usha about the current circumstances and urged her to explore all available options to address the issue. He also advised Usha to file a strong protest regarding Phogat’s disqualification if it could potentially benefit her case.
